Getting Started

1. Create Your Account

Sign up at postfaster.app/signup using your email address. You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account.

2. Choose Your Plan

PostFaster offers multiple subscription tiers based on your needs. Visit your subscription page to select the plan that works for you.

3. Connect Your First Account

Navigate to the Connect page and authenticate your social media accounts using secure OAuth 2.0 connections.

How to Connect

  1. Go to the Connect page from your dashboard
  2. Click on the platform you want to connect
  3. Authorize PostFaster in the popup window
  4. Your account will appear in your connected accounts list
  5. Repeat for each platform and account you want to add

Note: You can connect multiple accounts from the same platform (e.g., multiple Instagram accounts) for managing different brands or personas.

Creating & Publishing Posts

PostFaster offers three specialized posting modes to match your content type.

📷 Media Posting (Video & Images)

Perfect for video content and photo posts across all platforms.

Supported Media Types:

  • Videos: MP4 format, up to 100MB
  • Images: JPG, PNG, up to 10MB
  • Carousels: Multiple images (Instagram only)
  1. Go to Media Posting page
  2. Upload your video or images (drag & drop supported)
  3. Add caption/description
  4. Select which platforms to post to
  5. Choose immediate post or schedule for later
  6. Click "Post" or "Schedule"

📝 Text Posting

Ideal for Twitter/X threads, LinkedIn posts, and text-only updates.

  1. Go to Text Posting page
  2. Write your message (supports hashtags and emojis)
  3. Select target platforms
  4. Post immediately or schedule

Pro Tip: Different platforms have different character limits. PostFaster will notify you if your text is too long for selected platforms.

🖼️ Image-Only Posting

Specialized mode for Pinterest and image-focused platforms.

  1. Go to Image Posting page
  2. Upload images (single or multiple)
  3. Add captions and hashtags
  4. Post or schedule across platforms

Scheduling Posts

Schedule your content in advance to maintain consistent posting without manual work.

How to Schedule

  1. Create your post using any of the posting modes
  2. Toggle the "Schedule for later" option
  3. Select your desired date and time
  4. Choose timezone (defaults to your account timezone)
  5. Click "Schedule Post"

Managing Scheduled Posts

View and manage all scheduled posts from the Scheduled Posts page.

Scheduled Post Actions:

  • ✓ View all upcoming scheduled posts in calendar view
  • ✓ Edit scheduled post content or timing
  • ✓ Reschedule to a different date/time
  • ✓ Delete scheduled posts
  • ✓ Post immediately instead of waiting

Important: Scheduled posts require an active subscription. If your subscription expires, scheduled posts will be paused until you renew.

Posts History & Management

Track all your published posts in one place with the Posts History page.

Search Functionality

Managing Multiple Brands with Personas

Personas help you organize content when managing multiple brands, clients, or personal accounts.

What are Personas?

A Persona is a grouping of social media accounts that belong to the same brand or identity. For example:

  • Brand A: Instagram account + TikTok account + Twitter account
  • Brand B: Different Instagram account + Different LinkedIn page
  • Personal: Your personal accounts across all platforms

Creating Personas

  1. Go to Persona Management
  2. Click "Create New Persona"
  3. Name your persona (e.g., "Coffee Shop Brand")
  4. Link relevant social media accounts
  5. Save and start posting with that persona

Pro Tip: When creating a post, select the persona to automatically post to all accounts associated with that brand.

Platform-Specific Guidelines

Instagram

Supported: Single images, carousels (up to 10 images), videos, Reels

Caption Limit: 2,200 characters

Hashtags: Up to 30 hashtags supported

Best Practices: Use high-quality images (1080x1080px), add captions with strong calls-to-action

TikTok

Supported: Videos only (MP4 format)

Video Length: 15 seconds to 10 minutes

Caption Limit: 2,200 characters

Best Practices: Vertical videos (9:16 ratio), trending sounds, engaging hooks in first 3 seconds

Twitter / X

Supported: Text, images, videos

Character Limit: 280 characters (4,000 for premium users)

Media: Up to 4 images per tweet

Best Practices: Keep it concise, use hashtags sparingly (1-2 max), engage with trending topics

LinkedIn

Supported: Text, images, videos, articles

Character Limit: 3,000 characters

Best Practices: Professional tone, industry insights, data-driven content, networking focus

YouTube

Supported: Videos (MP4 format)

Title Limit: 100 characters

Description Limit: 5,000 characters

Best Practices: Compelling thumbnails, SEO-optimized titles/descriptions, consistent upload schedule

Facebook

Supported: Text, images, videos, links

Character Limit: 63,206 characters (but shorter is better)

Best Practices: Visual content performs better, use Facebook-native videos, ask questions to boost engagement

Pinterest

Supported: Images (vertical format preferred)

Image Ratio: 2:3 (1000x1500px recommended)

Description Limit: 500 characters

Best Practices: High-quality vertical images, keyword-rich descriptions, consistent branding

Subscription Limits & Plans

Different subscription tiers have different limits for connected accounts and monthly posts.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

My account won't connect

Try these steps:

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Disable ad blockers temporarily
  • Make sure you're logged into the social media platform first
  • Try using a different browser
  • Check if the platform's OAuth service is down

My post failed to publish

Common causes:

  • Token expired - reconnect the account
  • File size too large - compress your media
  • Caption too long for the platform
  • Platform API rate limits - try again in a few minutes

Can I edit a post after publishing?

Unfortunately, most social media platforms don't allow editing published posts through their APIs. You would need to delete and repost on the platform directly.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your Subscription page and click "Cancel Subscription". You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

Is my data secure?

Yes! We use industry-standard encryption, OAuth 2.0 for authentication, and never store your social media passwords. Read more on our Security page.
